About the role:
Opportunity to join well respected property/casualty insurance company that has built a solid reputation on values of integrity, honesty, hard work and service to the community. We are seeking a Director of Finance to oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic initiatives.
As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.
Duties and responsibilities:
Oversee all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis.
Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Design and oversee implementation of internal control processes within systems including policy, billing, and claims.
Work closely with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Assist the CFO with investment management.
Effectively communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategies presenting to senior management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and IT, to ensure data quality and enhance operational efficiency.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the property/casualty personal lines insurance industry.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate.
Compensation:
$170k to $200k+ bonus. 401k, Pension Plan, Competitive benefits
