ABOUT THE ROLE Tech enabled property casualty carrier focusing on small businesses. They work with insurance agents and brokers so small businesses can get the coverage they need and stay focused on running their business. They are revolutionizing the small business owner’s claims experience and looking for a dynamic Claims Specialist to join their fully remote team. You’ll collaborate with the Claims Leadership Team to manage and resolve complex Commercial Casualty, General Liability, and Professional Liability claims. This role involves investigating claims, assessing coverage, managing reserves, and negotiating resolutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Resolve Commercial Casualty, General Liability, and Professional Liability claims of moderate to higher levels of severity and complexity. Investigate claim and review the insureds’ and claimants materials, documents, reports etc. Identify and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and retain coverage counsel, when necessary as well as review coverage counsel’s opinion letters and analysis . Identify and review of each jurisdiction’s applicable statutes, rules, and case law. Manage defense counsel for expense control and direct counsel in accordance with resolution strategy for optimum outcomes. Attend mediations, trials, and other proceedings relevant to the resolution of the matter.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 7+ years of claims experience at a TPA or insurance company. Experience with handling attorney represented, litigated third party premise liability claims, and third party property damage claims. Proper adjuster licensing in all applicable states.
