Founded 4 decades ago and currently one of the largest privately held property & casualty AM Best “A” rated carriers in the United States. Our client currently seeks a Chief Actuary to join their organization. This position can work on a hybrid arrangement from: Chicago, IL 60601 or Alpharetta, GA 30005 or Chapel Hill, NC 27516 or Hartford, CT 06101 or Jersey City, NJ 07030 The Chief Actuary is a key member of the Executive Team and responsible for all actuarial pricing and loss reserving functions. Will lead a team of experienced professionals who analyze and monitor loss cost trends, establish pricing levels, reserving and other considerations.

Overseeing and guiding a skilled team of actuarial professionals to further the development and maintenance of pricing models.
Overseeing and guiding the loss reserving function to ensure carried loss and LAE reserves on both a direct and net-of-reinsurance basis are determined based on sound actuarial methodologies.
Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
An ability to deal confidently with all levels within and outside the company, including senior executives, auditors, independent actuaries, underwriters, reinsurers, Board members and A. M. Best Company. Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
FCAS and MAAA.
15+ years of actuarial experience in loss reserving and pricing functions within the commercial property and casualty insurance business with excess and surplus lines strongly preferred.
Compensation:
COMPENSATION
